So sometimes when we are driving as a family AND we have the camera AND the camera is in my lap, I take pictures. I couldn't believe how well this picture caught me. Heee, heee. OH, don't forget to notice the poor neglected child in the background!
Believe it or not, Jack isn't always happy. In fact, here is some evidence that he has rotten moments, like the rest of us. This is driving home from apartment hunting. He also knocks on his head when he's frustrated. I think I'll try it.
That's right. The new kitchen table is worthy of blogging about. We looked around for months and when I say "we" that means me. The apartment (aka background) is not so lovely, but the table is and the bench. Steve will be making some upholstered chairs similar to these orange-y red lovelies seen in La Jolla. These are big times for us.
Finally! I just finished Silas Marner. It is the slowest, shortest book I have enjoyed. I think it took ninety pages to get into and a remaining 110 pages to enjoy. I would read a page or two and think about how little I cared and then read a different book. I have always hated not finishing a book.

We did go and try to see the spawning Kokanee, but they were few and far between. It was another great time with the Hawes. We'll hope they don't get too sick of us because Jack loves them. He still asks for Leisy, but we do what we can. This is a close up of the crawdad that Laney caught. Don't worry. Steve is holding the crawdad. He frequently acts as tour guide and stunt double.
We went to California to visit my grandparents, Dean and the beach. Steve doesn't believe in Disneyland...we're still working on it anyway. Jack loved the beach. We didn't realize how difficult it can be to keep sand out of a baby's eyes.
Jack is by far the most interesting part of our family. Here is a clip of our little man walking and chatting. He was born telling the most amazing stories.
Last week Jack took Uncle James to the MTC. We would have let Jack stay, but we haven't saved up for his mission yet. Heck, we don't even have a house.
Hello! This new family blog is mainly for Leisy, to be honest. She was Jack's first mom and apparently misses him a bit. I can't believe I made another BLOG. The world becomes more and more clogged with blogs. I really couldn't resist the polka dot template. I love dots!
