Does This Shirt Make Me Look Pregnant?

The other morning I was trying to get dressed for work. I tried on too many outfits to remember. Each time I pulled something together I either liked the top or I liked the bottom and was thereby encouraged to create a new outfit by changing something. I finally came downstairs and asked Steve if the shirt made me look pregnant. "Hailey you are pregnant," Steve responded. He's such a scientist, always stating the facts. Well, I need to face it. I just am pregnant and it's only going to become more apparent.

I think I may develop a line of not so friendly maternity shirts. I was recently inspired while at the gym. Leaving my step class to use the bathroom (again) I received a not so flattering stare. I really want each single male to realize that they too came to earth in a mother's belly. Lay off! I'm tired, hungry and waaaay uncomfortable and heck I should get an award for going to the gym like this!

I don't think the shirt makes you look prego, You look great and you do deserve a big award for still going to the gym. There are a lot of shirts out there now that make people look prego, but thats the style now and people shouldn't ask. It's called an empire waist people. I just said people way to much. I love your hair it's cute.

Next time one of those moronic single Zoobies (to use a Leavitt term) gives you a crusty, I recommend a swift and solid kick . . . where it counts the most.

It's scary to admit, but I've asked that very question to Derek recently about a new long empire waist shirt. He reassured me I didn't look pregnant, but boy it'd be upsetting if people thought I was keeping a big announcement to myself! I'm not sure I'll ever stop being afraid of looking pregnant, whether I am or not!

You look great! Really and truly. And good for you for working out. I like Derek's idea of kicking dumb guys at the gym. I'm wondering what kind of great t-shirt sayings you had in mind...

I still ask kent that question regularly (and at 33 weeks I don't think anything will help hide me)! and you look WONDERFUL- not pregnant. oh, and I have that shirt! sorry about that nasty gym stares- it will just get worse. at our holiday hustle 5k some guy I ran past yelled "oh my gosh, that lady is pregnant!". nice observation, pal.
you aren't leaving for the holidays are you? lets have a big party. maybe a sleepover! jack and zeb are definitely old enough to be playmates now! we'll be there the 21 to the 31!

need i remind you what I looked like at the gym? i wore the same outfit everyday because it is all I had that fit. And I will only give you an award for going to the gym while pregnant if you make it to the very last day!

sheesh, what are pregnant women supposed to do sit on the couch eating potato chips?

I've really had fun with everyone's comments (especially Derek's). I am certain I won't be in the gym the day I deliver my baby (Laney deserves that award). I did just want to clear my name a bit and say that this post was in jest. I do know I look pregnant and I'm just slow to come to terms with it. I've gotten bigger faster this pregnancy and I just keep hoping that means the due date with come earlier! :) Oh maybe that would be harder...

You are just so darn cute I can't believe it! And I agree with Derek... go with the swift and solid kick! (does this remind you of the good old days in elementary school when I told you to whip the boys with your jump rope if they flipped up your dress?)

I love going to the gym and getting those stares. Especially now in the end. I get the "what is that big fat pregnant woman doing in the gym?!" Sometimes I want to comment and say,"I am only trying to increase my chances of my water breaking on it's own. I hear it works."

Cool hair! when did you decide to cut bangs and how come I didn't know about it? It's like those scented markers you had! Why didn't I know you had those! I'm feeling so out of the loop and far away! I get the stares at the gym all the time, I always want to point out to people that I'm PREGNANT, a temporary condition, and I'm not HANDICAP! It always makes me question if I remembered to put my pants on. Very unnerving.

Reading this and all the comments made me remember what a funny bunch of cousins I have! I had to read all of them to Matt and then of course Steve's big announcement too. Oh wait, did I just break the news to you?! :) You look like a hottie potattie in that shirt and def. not prego. I've gotten asked that question too many times to count so I've laid off the cute empire waisted ones and now wear skin tight belly shirts so no one has to ask.
