Poop and peep in the potty

No more diapers in the Leavitt house (at least until the new pirate comes). That's right, Jack has figured out the ins and outs of using the toilet. He's been in his new dinosaur underwear for the last week. Although we've been woken up by songs of "I've gotta go potty" at all hours of the night, these nights have been accident free. He's been just about as good during the day. We're proud of our Gravy, but it has actually been really sad to me to know how much he's changing.

Ditto Erin's comment! That is one requirement I have before we consider having another kid. Shelby MUST be potty trained. That part might come soon too, as she's learned to take her diaper off. If she does this more often, I'll have to potty train her. I'm not looking forward to the training, just the no diapers part!

Congrats, that is one huge step. We are getting ready to take it here soon as well.

Hailey, I can not relate a bit. I don't mind my kids outgrowing diapers in the least! :)

HURRAY for Jack! I'm super excited for him and for you. It's super inconvenient at the beginning before anyone is sure how long they can hold it, but what freedom!! you don't have to have a huge diaper bag with multiple sizes! Think of the money you're saving now! WOW!

Wow good job Jack and Mom. That is kind of sad they are growing up fast.

Bravo Jack! Keep up the good work! Nothing is better than having him in dinosaur pants Hailey. Give yourself a little time. I'll bet you can learn to like it. :)

Yay. You wanna come train Tristan?

well, it's sweet that you're sad, but you shouldn't be sad about success in potty training! Save that for when he gets so big that he doesn't want to sit in your lap or the first day of preschool. even I cried at that and I'm dead inside.

I just have to say that it was Steve who posted about Jack using the potty. I'm not nostalgic about the loss of diapers, but I am exhausted by the chants, "I have to use the po-tty....I have to use the po-tty." (usually these chants come right after he is tucked into bed! :)

Ah, the dreaded 'I have to use the pot-ty' chant. It follows the ever popular 'I want a drink of wa-ter!'

Steve is the nostalgic one? I should've been paying better attention, huh?!

I miss that warm feeling, but it's a good thing to do it in the toilet. I still remember sitting by someone in class who chose to let loose and it ran off their chair onto the floor....
