Halloween, Halloween!
Anyone who has been around Jack, knows that "Halloween" was one of his first and best words ever spoken. Yesterday was a perfect holiday. We woke up early and took Steve to BYU. Then we went trick or treating at Maceys with all the neighborhood friends. It was so cute to watch the kids run into Maceys altogether. India came dressed as a princess and she ran along the aisles pretty quickly in her cute, plastic heels! The kids got a few candies and had a great time. Afterwards the party continued at our house with doughnuts and a Charlie Brown Halloween movie, which Steve thinks is void of charm and humor.
In the afternoon we picked up Steve and drove up to Alpine. Adele made delicious doughnuts and we passed out doughnuts to the neighbors and took Jack to a few houses to trick or treat. He loved it! His face lit up when he saw another group of kids trick or treating and he ran right up to them and joined the party. I looked at him and thought, "he's so grown up now and darling." I wasn't thinking along those lines when we got home late and he turned into a typical two-year-old, overtired monster! All in all a perfect day.

You guys look awesome! Where did you get your costumes? You make a darling redhead.
You weren't kidding Hailey, Steve really can sew! I just don't know what to think. I'm torn between remembering whether the Tin Man really wore Chaco's or if he looks more like a t-bird. Steve's costume can totally double as a Hell's Angel next year, and use the mast for Phantom then next year. 100% impressed
And Carter's face toward Jack is the funniest thing ever. He's thinking, "I know you, of all people, Jack, want to be a Pirate. But you showed me up again by being that adorable little cowardly lion." And you're right, Jack is growing up too too fast. Please make him remember us.
Note the scab under Jack's lip in the first picture - an hour before the party he fall and put his tooth completely through his lip (the scab is the exit wound). In spite of that he couldn't miss the long promised Halloween party.
It looks like fun times! You make a great Dorothy and Steve and Jack look great too! How did Jack agree to give up being a pirate?
wow!!! I am super impressed as well. you guys sure know how to celebrate. Quite fitting that steve-o will go all out and crazy for the pagan holidays- but hates disneyland and harry potter... hmmmm.
oh, that sounds like so much fun!! I love your costumes and mmm... homemade donuts.... Great pictures. And actually, I'm totally with Steve. The nostalgic idea of Charlie Brown is great, but actually watching the movies? No thanks. They are sarcastic, mean and not that funny. But our kids watch them and think they're great. :)
Love your Halloween outfits. Jack is so cute. Max really enjoyed himself this year as well and he could say Halloween this year to which makes me think of Jack. Hope everything is going good for you. We are just busy as ever and I know it will never end. I just gotta learn to organize time better i guess. c-ya
